Saadatmandi said his son was sitting at the computer listening to his iPod, model A137, when smoke suddenly began coming out of the right side of the dial. The smoke gave way to flames, prompting the teenager to throw a rag over the device to put out the fire. He wasn't injured, but the blaze melted part of the now unusable device.
