This is a great article! Schools eliminating recess to instruct children in drills. Don't they realize that the more freedom they take away, the worse children will behave? I think they do realize it and do it so they can punish kids.

Well, let's see. Both are conducive to hopelessness. In both cases you come out worse than you went in. In both cases the stated theory is that you are made better, but the reality, as created by the people in charge, is that you will be made worse/more ignorant.
